Ah, don't people ever tire of rumors? Well, the latest one in the mobile gadget world is that Apple plans to bring out a mini iPad sometime in mid-2011 or so.
Apple is apparently not very pleased with the impending entry of the 7-inch HTC Flyer. Steve Jobs, Apple chief, had made that much very clear when he boldly (and rather controversially) stated that 7-inch tablets are "dead on arrival".
But now, the rumor of a possible 5.7-inch Apple iPad is floating around the mobile market. Though a whole lot of people are talking about this, no one seems to know the source where all this blah originally came from.
Personally, I cannot figure why Apple would want to release a mini version of the iPad, especially since the latest on their minds would be the release of their darling iPad 2.
In any case, we will just have to wait and watch for more info on this, won't we? What do you guys have to say on this? Do you think this thing might actually be true? In that case, would you like to try out or develop apps for a mini iPad?

I dunno… the idea of an ipad small enough for my purse, or almost, makes sense to me. I think. Although I guess they’ve already got it in the iphone don’t they.
