
Social media is "in" like never before. While it was once, merely a means of communication between members of the younger generation, it has today shown its true potential for advertisers and marketers as well.
Using mobile social media such as mobile social networks, creating and marketing location-based apps, making money by way of mobvertising and in-app advertising and so on, is now the current mantra for success among mobile marketers.
Apple Inc. has also now gotten into the fray by acquiring C3 Technologies, which is famous for its advanced mapping features. Though Apple does not yet include location data into the same, the chances are that it will do so, at a future date.
Social media being such an integral part of mobile marketing, I thought I should do a feature on the best monitoring tools for the same.
My first article in this series includes a feature on paid social media monitoring tools. I intend to do one more on free tools available for the purpose, as also reviews on all of them.
