Announcing the Finalists of the Mobile Devices Readers’ Choice Awards 2013


The winners have been announced. Find out who won.

The voting phase for the About.com Readers’ Choice Awards 2013 has now commenced, with votes accepted in multiple categories, covering a vast range of topics including technology, parenting, hobbies, gardening and what not. Readers’ votes will be accepted starting Feb. 19, 2013 and will remain open till Mar. 19, 2013.

Each Website on the About.com conducts its own voting programs for the RCA 2013. You can vote for your favorite mobile app developers, mobile OS’, companies, software and more on Mobile Devices. You can cast your vote once every day and in every category that you wish to.

General Rules

  • Only votes that are cast by way of filling the official forms provided for the same, will be counted towards the final tally for the winner. Votes cast via any other method will not be accepted.

  • Only votes that are cast for the respective categories of nominees featuring on Mobile Devices will be accepted.

  • You can vote for yourself or for developers, companies and products that appeal to you. Do spread the word around – we would love maximum reader participation at this mega event.

  • Attn: App Developers/Manufacturers/Companies – Kindly refrain from offering freebies, discounts and so on to people in order to get them to vote for you. We request you to maintain complete honesty and transparency in the spirit of the Awards.

  • Choosing the final winner and/or disqualifying a participant will be undertaken at my sole discretion.

  • Rules for Voting

  • You can vote only once a day in each category.

  • You necessarily need to login to cast your vote. You can sign in either with your email address, Facebook account or About.com account. Your email address will not be used for any other purpose and will not be passed onto third parties.

  • Voting commences on closes on February 19 and closes on March 19, 11:59 pm ET.

  • The Awards Timeline

    The timeline for the Readers’ Choice Awards 2013 is as follows:

  • COMPLETED – Jan. 14: Nominations open

  • COMPLETED - Feb. 11, 11:59 pm ET: Nominations close

  • Feb. 19: Voting for finalists opens

  • March 19, 11:59 pm ET: Voting closes

  • March 27: Final winners announced

  • The Results

    The winners of the Readers’ Choice Awards 2013 will be declared on March 27. There is no prize – just the bragging rights that come with getting recognition from one of the biggest networks on the World Wide Web.

    The List of Finalists

    You can now start voting for your favorite finalists from among 11 categories on Mobile Devices. These include mobile OS, app stores, app creating and designing tools, mobile app development books, game dev books and many more.

    Remember, you can cast your vote in as many categories as you like. However, know that you can vote only once a day per category. Voting closes on March 19, 2013.
